Terms of Use

The short version: be kind to your puppy, and to the app. The long version is below.

1Who we are and accepting these terms

Good Boy Focus ("the app") is developed and published by VF TECNOLOGIA LTDA, Brazil ("we"). By downloading or using the app you agree to these Terms of Use. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

2Apple's Standard EULA

The app is licensed to you, not sold, under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA). These terms add to the Standard EULA. If they conflict, the Standard EULA prevails for your license to use the app. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, and has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for it.

3What the app is

Good Boy Focus is a focus timer with a hand-drawn puppy that keeps you company. It is a productivity tool for fun and motivation. It is not a medical device, does not diagnose or treat any condition (including ADHD), and does not replace professional advice.

4Good Boy Focus Plus

Plus is optional. It is sold through the App Store as:

  • Quarterly: an auto-renewable subscription, renewed every 3 months;
  • Yearly: an auto-renewable subscription, renewed every year, which may start with a free trial when the purchase screen shows one and you are eligible;
  • Lifetime: a one-time purchase, with no renewal.

The price, the period and any free trial are shown in the app and in the App Store before you confirm. Prices may vary by country and include the taxes Apple applies.

5Billing, renewal and cancellation

  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID account when you confirm the purchase, or at the end of the free trial.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period and price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Your account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the current period ends.
  • You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in iOS Settings › your name › Subscriptions. Canceling stops the next renewal. You keep Plus until the end of the period you paid for.
  • If you buy a subscription during a free trial, any unused part of the trial ends.
  • Plus is personal. A family plan is not offered.

6Refunds and restoring purchases

Payments and refunds are handled by Apple, under Apple's rules, at reportaproblem.apple.com. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have under the consumer law of your country. To get Plus back on a new device, use Restore purchases in the app with the same Apple ID.

7Treats, gifts and items

Treats, gifts, missions and room items are virtual items inside the app. They have no money value, cannot be exchanged for money or transferred, and may change as the app evolves. Some items need Plus before they can be bought with treats.

8Your data

What you create in the app is stored on your device. Deleting the app or using Start over erases it, and we cannot recover it. Keep a backup if it matters to you. Our Privacy Policy explains what is shared and why.

9App blocking

Blocking uses Apple's Screen Time and depends on iOS, on the permission you give, and on your device settings. We do our best, but we cannot guarantee that every app or website will always be blocked.

10Fair use

Please don't copy, modify, resell or reverse-engineer the app or its art, and don't use it to break the law. The drawings, the puppies and the texts of Good Boy Focus belong to us and are protected by copyright.

11No warranty and limitation of liability

The app is provided "as is". We do our best to keep it working well, but we cannot promise it will be free of errors or always available. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damages, lost data or lost profits. This does not limit any liability that cannot be limited by law.

12Changes to the app and to these terms

We may update the app and these terms. The date above shows the latest version. If a change matters, we will tell you in the app. If you keep using the app after a change, you accept it.

13Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil, without taking away the protection of the consumer law where you live. Questions: contato@viniciusfreire.dev.
