Privacy Policy

Good Boy Focus has no accounts and keeps what you create on your iPhone. This page explains, plainly, the little that leaves it.

Last updated: October 19, 2026

1Who we are

Good Boy Focus ("the app") is developed by VF TECNOLOGIA LTDA, Brazil ("we"). We are the controller of the data described here. For anything about privacy, write to contato@viniciusfreire.dev.

2In short

  • There is no account, login or sign-up. We never ask for your name, email or phone number.
  • Your focus sessions, tasks, gifts, room and settings are saved only on your device.
  • To sell and restore Good Boy Focus Plus, the app uses RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous ID and your purchase receipts.
  • To know which of our ads bring people to the app, the app uses the Meta (Facebook) SDK, which receives a few app events. Your device's advertising identifier is only included if you allow tracking when iOS asks.
  • Your Screen Time data, tasks, notes, recordings and anything you type are never shared with anyone.

3What stays on your device

Focus sessions and labels, tasks and notes, alarms and reminders, gifts, treats, missions and streaks, your puppy's nickname, the room decoration and your settings are stored only on your iPhone. We cannot see them. They are erased when you delete the app or use Settings › Start over.

If you export a backup, the app creates a file and opens the iOS share sheet. Where that file goes is your choice.

4Purchases (Apple and RevenueCat)

Payments are processed by Apple. We never see your name, Apple ID or payment details.

To confirm, restore and keep track of Good Boy Focus Plus, the app uses RevenueCat, Inc. RevenueCat receives a random, anonymous app user ID, your purchase receipts and purchase history (product, price, currency, dates, renewals and refunds), and basic device information such as iOS version, app version and country. RevenueCat processes this on our behalf. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.

5Ad measurement (Meta) and tracking

We advertise the app on Meta platforms (Facebook and Instagram). To learn which ads bring people to the app, versions of the app that include the Meta SDK send Meta, Inc. a few events: opening the app, finishing the introduction, viewing the Plus screen, your 1st, 3rd and 10th completed focus, and starting a trial, a subscription or a purchase (with plan, price and currency). They go together with an anonymous app ID and basic device information.

Tracking only with your permission. After the introduction, iOS asks whether Good Boy Focus may track you (App Tracking Transparency). Only if you tap Allow is your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) sent too. If you don't allow it, the IDFA is never sent and Meta only gets aggregated, privacy-preserving measurement through Apple's SKAdNetwork. RevenueCat may also pass these identifiers to Meta to report renewals.

You can change your choice at any time in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking. See Meta's privacy policy.

We never send Meta your Screen Time data, tasks, notes, recordings, calendar, health data or anything you type.

6Screen Time and app blocking

If you turn on Strict or Allow List mode, the apps you choose are handled by Apple's Screen Time (Family Controls) on your device. Apple gives the app only opaque tokens, so Good Boy Focus cannot see which apps you picked or how you use them. This data never leaves your device and is never shared, including with Meta.

7Permissions you can choose to give

Every permission is optional and asked only when you use the feature. You can turn each one off in iOS Settings › Good Boy.

  • Notifications: reminders, alarms and end-of-focus alerts are scheduled on your device. No server is involved.
  • Microphone and speech recognition: used only if you record a sound for your corner, or turn on voice commands ("start", "pause"). Speech is recognized on your iPhone. Recordings stay on your device and nothing is sent to us.
  • Calendar: used only if you turn on the calendar integration. Finished focus sessions are added as events to the calendar you choose, and kept up to date. The app does not send your calendar anywhere.
  • Photos: used only to pick a photo as your room background, or to save your room as a wallpaper (add-only access).
  • Health: in versions that offer it, and only if you turn it on, finished focus sessions are saved as Mindful Minutes in Apple Health. The app only writes this data and never reads it. Health data is never used for advertising and never shared.
  • iCloud: in versions that offer it, and only if you turn on sync, your data is copied to your own iCloud account so your devices stay in sync. We cannot read it.
  • Motion sensor: only moves the room a little when you tilt your phone. Nothing is recorded.

8What we don't collect

We don't collect your name, email, phone number, contacts, precise or approximate location, photos, camera images, browsing history, or the content of your tasks and notes. The app has no analytics or crash-reporting service besides what is described above, and we never sell your data.

9Legal bases

Under the Brazilian LGPD, the EU/UK GDPR and similar laws, we rely on: performing the contract when you buy Plus (RevenueCat); your consent for tracking with the advertising identifier (App Tracking Transparency), which you can withdraw at any time; and our legitimate interest in measuring our ads without identifying you (anonymous events and SKAdNetwork).

10Where the data is processed and for how long

RevenueCat and Meta may process data in the United States and other countries, under the safeguards described in their policies. RevenueCat keeps purchase records while they are needed to provide Plus and to meet legal and accounting duties. Meta keeps event data according to its own policy. What is on your device stays there until you delete it.

11Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, delete or port your data, to object to its use, and to withdraw consent. Because there is no account, most of your data is only on your device, and you control it directly. For the data held by RevenueCat or Meta, write to contato@viniciusfreire.dev and we will help. You can also complain to your data protection authority (in Brazil, the ANPD). California residents: we do not sell or share personal information for money; to opt out of tracking, deny or turn off tracking in iOS Settings.

12Children

Good Boy Focus is rated 4+ and has no accounts, chats or public profiles. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. Parents can turn off tracking in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking, or with Screen Time restrictions.

13Changes and contact

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above, and tell you in the app when the change matters. Questions or requests: contato@viniciusfreire.dev.
