How it works

  1. Start a focus

    Pick a Pomodoro or the stopwatch. Your puppy walks in and hops onto the armchair.

  2. He naps, you focus

    He breathes, blinks and dozes by your side. Pet him and he wags his tail.

  3. Finish and get a gift

    Every focus you finish earns treats and a surprise from your puppy. Long sessions bring rarer gifts.

Gave up early? He gets grumpy.

You have 10 seconds to change your mind for free. After that he barks, sulks, turns his back on you and brings you trash instead of a gift.

Questions

Is Good Boy Focus free?

Yes. Focusing, the gifts, the missions, app blocking and the widgets are free. Good Boy Focus Plus is an optional purchase with extra perks.

Does it really block apps?

In Strict and Allow List modes, yes: the app uses Apple's Screen Time, and only blocks the apps you choose, only during a focus. In Relax there's no blocking, and in Super strict leaving the app for more than 10 seconds ends the session.

What happens if I give up?

In the first 10 seconds nothing happens. After that, your puppy gets grumpy, turns his back on you and brings you a piece of trash instead of a gift. He forgives you on the next focus.

Do I need an account?

No. Your sessions, gifts and room stay on your iPhone. You can export a backup in Settings › Your data.

Is there an Android or iPad version?

Not yet. Good Boy Focus is made for iPhone.
